Three SHMUPS on one game disc, Raiden Fighters Aces delivers the space ship shooting goodness with mountains of gameplay, awesome presentation and seizure enducing beats. Choose from dozens of space ships / airplanes in this SHMUP where instant power ups and mayhem are the name of the game, but beware, bullet shooter madeness awaits you in Raiden Fighters Aces and fancy weapons alone won’t keep you alive. Choose a fast ship or slow ship, heavily armed and chunky or quick and nimble. There’s a huge variety of aircraft and weapon diversification, enough to keep any vertical scrolling shooter fan happy with hours of gameplay across three fairly similar games. Classic Game Room HD reviews CALL OF DUTY 4 MODERN WARFARE for PS3, also on Xbox 360. COD4 Modern Warfare is one of the most popular video games ever created and for good reason, you get a lot of game with this game! An awesome fantasty based James Bond adventure-style single player campaign where you have to stop a group of tyrants from destroying the world. COD 4 has an amazing ortment of modern weapons including the MP5 and Javelin. The frantic battle scenes and attention to detail that are in COD2 and 3 are back with a suitable amount of ferocity and overall gameplay is superb. This CGR review of Call of Duty 4 has gameplay from COD4 showing the game play during this video game review of COD 4 Modern Warfare, developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. Being that this is one of the most popular games ever made means that there are millions of people playing multiplayer deathmatch, team death match and other games online. PS3 Playstation Network performance was smooth and free of lag or complications. The XBLA Xbox 360 version is supposed to be well done too (we didn’t check that version though). The COD4 Game of the Year Edition also has a fun arcade mode where you can play through missions in the game to earn arcade-style points and rack up a huge multiplyer by playing well and wasting bad guys. Good times packed into one COD4 game disc here, good times… It’s just too bad it’s not on the Vectrex.
Classic Game Room HD reviews SCRAMBLE for Vectrex from 1982, developed by Konami and manufactured by GCE. Scramble was originally released in the arcades in 1981 and made its way to a few game systems including the Commodore 64 and the almighty Vectrex. This Vectrex side scrolling old school SHMUP has amazing gameplay and is addictive and fun. Shoot enemies but be careful not to run out of fuel! It’s like River Raid mixed with Vanguard, a side scrolling space ship shooter which stands the test of time and remains a true classic. Developed by Konami, who is known for their popular and awesome Gradius series, Scramble can also be purchased for XBLA / Xbox 360 these days. Vectrex collectors will enjoy the colorful overlay and responsive controls, try and use a non-broken Vectrex controller for those tight spots. Classic Game Room HD reviews PERFECT DARK ZERO for Xbox 360 from 2005, an early release for the 360 and a memorable first person shooter from Rare. This CGRHD review of Perfect Dark Zero has gameplay footage from Perfect Dark Zero showing game play during this FPS featuring Joanna Dark in a prequel to the Perfect Dark storyline on N64. Use a clever variety of weapons in creative levels that keep the game fresh and interesting from beginning to end. Perfect Dark Zero can be bought today for a song and while it seems slow compared to some more popular shooters these days. The game itself remains technically solid, smooth and sounds awesome. The storyline is sub-par but the replay value due to the amazing level design is high, and that’s what really stands out with this game. Awesome levels, techo style music and lots of cool futuristic weaponry make this an easy game to drop $5 on and add to your collection.

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen comes in many different shapes and sizes, this is the Decepticon Version for Nintendo DS. Play as Starscream, Grindor, Sideways and other Decepticons in this Transformers action video game. Classic Game Room HD reviews HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE for Xbox 360. This game is also available on Playstation 3 PS3 and Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince can be played on Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Sony PSP and Playstation 2 (but no Vectrex!??). Play as Harry Potter and a few other characters as Voldemort tightens his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds. Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven that it once was and Harry suspects that evil may exist within the castle. Dumbledore prepares Harry for the final battle which approaches, as Harry requests help from Professor Slughorn who holds memories in his head which could help. The teens run wild with hormones raging, fueled by magic and love potions…. how will it all end?? Harry Potter fans should enjoy this well made, technically solid romp through the Harry Potter world. Mix potions, duel with magic and take to the air as Seeker of the Gryffindor Quidditch team. Discover the identity of the Half Blood prince in Harry Potter the video game for Xbox 360! Earn loads of achievement points and trophies (in the PS3 version) while playing Harry Potter. Collect crests hidden throughout the castle and mini-crests lurking within lights. Battle enemies, friends and mix potions illegal in 49 states. Harry Potter keeps it real for his 6th year… shouldn’t he be graduating soon? Classic Game Room HD reviews NCAA FOOTBALL 10 from EA Sports for Playstation 3 PS3, also available for XBLA. This HD football game has numerous college teams to play as and against. Multiplayer, tournament mode, team builder and more round out the package giving major bang for the buck for college football fans. Watch the CGRHD review of NCAA 10 for gameplay footage from NCAA Football 10 on PS3 and Xbox 360 as game play is shown in HD. Earn trophies and achievement points for NCAA 10, compete against friends on the same console or worlds apart. CGR may not be much of a football gamer, but the game was played with a team who is experienced with the EA Sports Madden series, how does NCAA 10 compare to Madden 09? Better interface, more irrating cheerleaders, similar games for the most part. If you are in the market for the latest and greatest college football game on PS3 and Xbox 360 NCAA 10 is where you’ll find it. If not, then play Tecmo Bowl. Review includes gameplay from Penn State, Pitt, Florida State and more.
Classic Game Room HD reviews TRANSFORMERS REVENGE OF THE FALLEN for Nintendo Wii. It’s like the Bumblebee of Transformers video games. It should just transform into a car and drive itself off a cliff. Less than meets the eye kids, less than meets the eye. Buy or rent the AWESOME Transformers Revenge of the Fallen for Xbox 360 or PS3 and avoid this one. In an odd twist of fate (even odder than robots adopting the form of cars and school busses) the Transformers 2 video game has numerous versions… the Xbox 360 and PS3 version, two Nintendo DS versions and this mess on the Nintendo Wii. Sloppy controls, poor graphics and lackluster gameplay make this Transformers game the one to miss. This CGRHD review of Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen for Wii has gameplay footage from Transformers 2 on Wii showing the video game being played. Play Autobot and Decepticon, both (you can’t choose like you can in the 360 version) and play through a variety of mission types where the camera angles add confusion to what could have otherwise been a straight forward punch and shoot brawler.
Classic Game Room HD reviews SACRED 2 FALLEN ANGEL for Playstation 3 PS3, also on Xbox 360 and PC. This massive RPG role playing game allows you to choose one of 6 character classes and lay waste to an enormous fantasy world. This CGRHD review of SACRED 2 FALLEN ANGEL has gameplay video from Sacred 2 Fallen Angel on PS3, also on Xbox 360 and PC which probably look similar. Technically solid and very well made this RPG has over 600 side missions along with a plot involving T Energy or something like that, basically you could lose a life in here and play forever. Sacred 2 Fallen Angel has multiplayer and co-op gameplay so that you can play with a friend. Level your character up and earn Sacred 2 Fallen Angel trophies. Hundreds of weapons and monsters are waiting to be discovered, interact with villagers and solve their problems with violence and brute force. Learn magic like spells and combat skills… reminds me of Ultima VII for some reason, maybe it’s just that I forgot how awesome these games are when done right. Highly recommended for fans of fantasy role playing games RPGs and other adventure style games on PS3 and Xbox 360. Sacred 2 Fallen Angel is def. Rexenephex says so. Hi ho Galaxy Ranger!
Classic Game Room HD reviews PROTOTYPE from Radical and Activision for Xbox 360, also available for Playstation 3 PS3. This Prototype review has gameplay video from Prototype video game showing game play in HD as CGR wreaks havoc in a well rendered New York City. Drive tanks down Wall Street, now that’s payback for your 401k! Alex Mercer is the prototype created by a horrible government conspiracy. Seek revenge against your creators and pretty much whatever or whoever gets in your way. Consume other people and morph into their form, throw taxis at people and jump off the Empire State Building. Prototype is darned fun and a violent, explody, bangy, crashy joy to play. It runs in High Definition and the Xbox 360 version has achievement points for Prototype. Earn weapon and jump upgrades (and more) and have a great time with side missions, challenges and other chaos that you create in Prototype!
