Classic Game Room HD reviews DIG DUG for Atari 5200. This 1982 Namco classic has a fine converstion for the Atari 5200 video game console and plays very well. It is extremely similar to the Atari 7800 game cartridge in fact. This CGRHD review of Dig Dug for Atari 5200 has gameplay footage from Dig Dug being played on Atari 5200. See our hero dig and dug while pumping enemies full of air and exploding them underground. Dig Dug should see a remake in 3D with first person shooter style and flamethrowers. Namco? Yes, we’re asking for it. Dig Dug ault 3D Megaslayer. Classic Game Room HD loves Dig Dug and other 1980’s coin-op classics. While the Atari 5200 has its share of disasters, Dig Dug is not one of them. This is a really nice video game that should belong in your colection of old school 5200 games. I’d still prefer the classic Dig Dug arcade machine though…

Classic Game Room HD reviews STEAL PRINCESS for the Nintendo DS from Atlus, not to be confused with Steel Princess or Remington Steele Princess or Steeel Princess which would be right out because no word has 3 e’s in a row, not even Eek. This CGRHD review of Steal Princess for Nintendo DS has gameplay footage from Steal Princess, solid as steel if the princess was Steel Prinecss made from Steel. CGR shows game play as Steal Princess fights her way through 150 different puzzle style levels. Fight bad guys, end bosses and solve puzzles in this cute, Japanese anime style game with people with purple hair and HUGE eyes. Atlus frequently brings well made, cool games over here (to US of A) and while Steal Princess isn’t my favorite game it delivers puzzle action and time solving awards, a map making mode and the ability to share maps over wi-fi to another Nintendo DS. Pretty neat. Steal Princess is on Nintendo DS and steal’s gems and stuff from bad guys to pay back a debt before she is encased in steel and sunk into the ocean. Classic Game Room HD reviews the 32GB iPOD TOUCH handheld thingy that does lots of stuff and plays video games. The Apple iPod was originally intended for music, then video, then phones and now video games! Love it or hate it, the iPod has a long life ahead of it and is going face to face with the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP in the handheld video game market. Thousands of games, lower priced games starting at .99 cents and loads of quality titles available as app downloads from iTunes make the iPod touch a pretty cool machine to have. It may cost a lot but the games are so much cheaper than in the end you’ll probably save money with an iPod for gaming. Although it was not designed specically for video games developers have found ways to make it work. Touch screen controls, tilt controls and motion controls can all be used to make some really neat Atari-era style arcade inspired games. Classic gamers and retro gamers alike can find many affordable video game apps at the iPod iTunes store to download. The iPod Touch (or iTouch) is veyr similar to the iPhone except it is not a phone, which I think is a good thing. I hate expensive phones. iPod touch is not for everyone but it is a good alternative for wifi internet, email, video games, movies and music on the go. This Classic Game Room hardware review looks at the new 32 GB iPod Touch iTouch handheld Apple thing that plays video games and more. The iPod touch is worth a look for classic gamers looking for gaming on the go.

Classic Game Room HD reviews BEER PONG for iPod. Beer Pong… yes. You read that correct. And somehow it works! This CGRHD review has gameplay footage of Beer Pong for the iPod Touch and iPhone, this iPod video game app will cost you less than a beer and provide some enjoyment. It may be more of a novelty item for some, others may really get into the gameplay. The game works quite simple, slide your finger in a throwing motion along the iPod screen and toss a pong ball into your opponent’s cups of beer. Make him drink, throw up and pass out under the bar so that you can cover him in empty pizza boxes at 3am and write douchebag on his forehead with a Sharpie. They didn’t include that part in the game, I made it up (or did I?). Beer Pong can be downloaded from iTunes at the iPod app video game store. iSuck at Beer Pong on iPod but that’s because I can’t just reach over the regulation 8′ table and use a wrist shot to pound opposing cups of cheap beer. It’s a cool game, made well and it keeps track of your high score. Beer Pong can be played with 1 or 2 players and it portable so it can go to the bar with you! Finally, play beer pong on the airplane without causing an international incident!!
