Classic Game Room HD reviews TURRET WARS for iPod. Show artillery some love! These cannons don’t move, don’t talk and can’t feel giddy. Turret Wars is an app where you cammand a gun turret and shoot enemy gun turrets across a 3D rendered map. This CGR review of Turret Wars, the video game app on iTunes, has gameplay from Turret Wars showing the video game in action in HD. Shell your enemies, collect power ups and health by hitting targets and get a high score up on the global leader boards. Turret Wars is addictive, fun and definately somewhat old school retro styled. Think Air Sea Battle meets iPod with that front of the missile perspective when shelling your opponents. Play realtime matches or turn based and choose from four different kinds of cannons.

Classic Game Room HD reviews RISE OF FLIGHT the First Great Air War for PC. This WW1 World War 1 flight simulator is one heck of a game chaps. Drop seven pillars of whoop on enemies with World War 1 airplanes like the Spad and Niuport 17! Fly WWI missions with a variety of planes and machine gun observation balloons, other pilots and everything that you can see. The scars of trench warfare are below you as you fly over no-man’s-land and bomb cannons. Visually stunning with an enormous amount of detail, Rise of Flight will be a dream come true for many flight game enthusiasts. With all of the “easy buttons” turned off the game is a flight simulator where your plane is batted around in the wind like a paper airplane. You can adjust difficulty and tweak the physics to make it more arcade-style, which is what I did. Gameplay is relatively smooth, sounds great and packs an enormous sense of scale and realism. This CGR review of Rise of Flight has gameplay from Rise of Flight showing airplane combat from World War 1 in this WW1 flight simulator action video game for your computer! Works with flight stick or keyboard (use a flight stick). You can turn your guy’s head around and look out the plane with the mouse. Outstanding graphics and details in the pit, could have used more monsters though.

Graphically the game looks bright and vibrant and shines with detailed visuals that dont suffer from slowdown, flicker or lag with the controller. Super Mario Kart started one of the most popular and highly praised game series ever, play the original! Find the SNES game cart for Super Mario Kart out there in cyberland for a few bucks. Itll cost more with packaging and manual, but do you need a manual? Hold down on the drive button and WIN! Super Mariokart on Wii is not available for download on WiiWare or Wii Virtual Console, maybe Super Mario Kart will be downladable soon for VC on the Nintendo Wii, but not yet. Pick up a SNES or compatible machine and have a great time with the first Super Mario Kart.

Classic Game Room HD reviews CALL OF DUTY 2 for Xbox 360 (also on PC). Call of Duty 2 is developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision, it takes place during World War 2 and features several characters from the allied perspective. You play as a Russian, British soldier and American and fight wave after wave of Nazis in dozens of intense battles across the globe. Massive in size and scope, COD2 has an immense single player campaign that is both challenging and exhilerating with constant, non stop gunfights and some vehicle levels. Duke it out across deserts, wrecked cities and through France during the D-Day operation, this early release for the Xbox 360 was a pretty heavy hitter as far as first person shooters go. Extremely affordable today and overshadowed by its younger sibling, COD4 Modern Warfare, Call of Duty 2 should not be overlooked by fans of action games, FPS shooters and WW2 video game enthusiasts. This CGRHD review of Call of Duty 2 has gameplay footage from COD2 showing game play during this World War II video game where the din of battle rarely dies down.

Classic Game Room HD reviews AGE OF PIRATES 2 CITY OF ABANDONED SHIPS for PC. I’m on a pirate ship! Woo hoo! Take control of boats in this seafaring RPG adventure style game where you can do good or terrorize the seas without mercy. Age of Pirates 2 gameplay shows naval combat, swordfighting and prostitution. The 1600’s were awesome! The boats can be repaired with money earned trading or pirating. Equip cannons and various ammunition types to blow enemy frigates to bits. Sail through storms and hire a crew. Age of Pirates 2 is a somewhat slow paced game compared to most action and arcade titles reviewed here, but it may appeal to fans of naval adventure games and RPG titles. It has a quirky humor and style that gets a few laughs in the gameplay. This CGRHD review of Age of Pirates 2 shows gameplay of game play in action for this PC video game reviewed.

Classic Game Room HD reviews CLEAN SWEEP for Vectrex from 1982. Clean Sweep is a cool Pac Man clone that has a couple of neat features. For starters you are playing as a vacuum cleaner in a bank surrounded by criminals. Vector graphics and awesome sounds make this a must have for Pac Man fever maniacs who just can’t get enough Pac Man. Clean Sweep from GCE is on the Vectrex, the vector graphics video game system from the early 80’s. Clean Sweep is an old school arcade style video game with a screen overlay and lots of charm. This CGRHD review has gameplay from Clean Sweep on the Vectrex showing game play and screen footage from the game cartridge. This is a must play for retro gamers.

Classic Game Room HD reviews POOL HALL PRO for Nintendo Wii. Shoot pool in arcade mode, exhibition or tournament against a variety of opponents (who are invisible!!). Pool games can be hit or miss depending on the controls, and Pool Hall Pro plays quite well even if the visuals aren’t up to current standards. Adjust your shot, choose where to hit the cue ball and fire away. The ball positioning and strategy used in real pool is all here and physics are done well. This CGRHD review of Pool Hall Pro has gameplay footage from Pool Hall Pro on Wii showing the game play as the pool video game is reviewed.

Classic Game Room HD reviews SACRED 2 FALLEN ANGEL for Playstation 3 PS3, also on Xbox 360 and PC. This massive RPG role playing game allows you to choose one of 6 character classes and lay waste to an enormous fantasy world. This CGRHD review of SACRED 2 FALLEN ANGEL has gameplay video from Sacred 2 Fallen Angel on PS3, also on Xbox 360 and PC which probably look similar. Technically solid and very well made this RPG has over 600 side missions along with a plot involving T Energy or something like that, basically you could lose a life in here and play forever. Sacred 2 Fallen Angel has multiplayer and co-op gameplay so that you can play with a friend. Level your character up and earn Sacred 2 Fallen Angel trophies. Hundreds of weapons and monsters are waiting to be discovered, interact with villagers and solve their problems with violence and brute force. Learn magic like spells and combat skills… reminds me of Ultima VII for some reason, maybe it’s just that I forgot how awesome these games are when done right. Follow Classic Game Room and Rexenephex on our quest to explore the map and crush everything in sight. Highly recommended for fans of fantasy role playing games RPGs and other adventure style games on PS3 and Xbox 360. Sacred 2 Fallen Angel is def. Rexenephex says so. Hi ho Galaxy Ranger!

Classic Game Room HD reviews BEJEWELED TWIST for PC from PopCap. This version of Bejeweled is vastly different from the original (and Bejeweled 2) because you play with rotational movements rather than horizontal or vertical jewel swapping. Neat! Changes the gameplay dramatically and makes you think about the game in a whole new way. Line up more than 3 gems in a row to eliminate the gems and earn points, wach your multiplier and keep an eye out for those timed bombs which will make you lose the game. Bejeweled Twist is another fun and addictive game from PopCap which can suck you in with awesome gameplay and strategy.
