Hi Ad101,

I agree with Dmytro, you need to go with the sound. listen and feel the music. Most of all have fun.

Most times you sway with the base beat and count the beat for eg. 1, 2, 3, 4 or 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 especially as a beginner, this helps you keep the rhythm. You can try it at home - count out loud. When you go out though count in your head until you feel comfortable.

I hope this is all informative. Enjoy your music and your dancing.

You can try the links below:
1) is a group of dance video clips for beginners just to have fun with at home
2) Dance DVDs which may be purchased (you should be able to find many more like this online.)
References :
1) http://www.clubdancelessons.com/media.htm

Just go with the sound. Like it all depends where you are, and what music u are leasting to. See ather people and learn, and do your own movments on someone's basies. I would recomend electronic music to realy have a good time and dance. Hip Hop is much more slover and it's always the same =( Dance and House music have vocals and I think it is kind of funky when u here what is someone singing about "I love u baby, give me one more time" or something like that. comn!
Just pure sound, not to fast not to slow, sounds like of Deadmou5, Terry Lee Brown Junior, The Timewrighter. Something around 126-128 Beat per minute (bpm).

Visit my page: """www.myspace.com/djdmytro"""" and download n_mix 12 part A or B and you will see what I am talking about :)
References :
www.myspace.com/djdmytro
